The 2010 United States Canoe Association's National Canoe & Kayak Marathon and Sprint Championships will be held held in Warren, PA on the Allegheny River. The event features six days of sprint and marathon canoe & kayak competition. Also offered is the National canoe & kayak Orienteering Championship and a fun canoe/kayak-run biathlon.
The current format is:
Tue: Adult & Adult/Youth Sprints
Wed: Orienteering, and the "unofficial, fun" Biathlon
Thu: Youth Sprints
Fri-Sun: Marathon races, typically 2-3 hours in length.
The week-long event caters to paddlers from 5 to 90+ Years. The marathon races are for adults and combined adult/youth teams. The marathon races in particular cater to paddlers whose expertise ranges from intermediate to elite and whose training ranges from casual to intense. For more information see USCA 2010 Nationals
